ABOUT INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION:

GENESIS:

"INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION” was established in the year 1998. IDA was registered as non-governmental organization as per Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 at Guwahati in 2001. Since its inception, IDA is working for the Welfare of the poor people in rural area particularly for vulnerable groups like Women & Children, Handicapped Persons, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes in the fields of Education, Health, Social Status, Income Generation and Empowerment of women of the society. The organization participated in various social welfare activities which were conducted by the State and Central Government. IDA has undertaken various Community Development Programs like Self Help Group promotion, Micro-credit & Micro-saving, Health Services, Gender Development, Environment Protection, Legal-aid, training and consultancy including Crisis Management.

A socially appropriate and sustainable method of empowerment process capable of providing basic necessities to the deprived people.

We are committed to fight poverty, loss of livelihood and unemployment.

We are committed to people oriented and ecologically sound economic policies giving priority to protect people’s livelihood and fulfillment of people’s basic needs in a sustainable way.

We belief that human development is a conscious initiative of the people in order to manage resources for the people there by ensuring people’s participation, which means development by the people.

We envisions a society where fundamental respect for social and spiritual dignity of all human being as ensured and a society without injustice, discriminations and untouchability of any kind , which means a full and abundant life for all society economically, philosophically and spiritually.


ORGANIZATION ORGANOGRAM:



IDA believes people to people communication and active participation can only bring total development of a society. It is possible only when the grass root population is empowered through information, awareness education and capacity & skills building training. IDA wishes to work towards these objectives by networking with other NGOs, GOs and social institutions to fulfill the needs of poor people of our society.
